Siirtolaisuusinstituutin toimitusjohtajana vastaan, kehitän ja valvon säätiön tarkoituksen toteutumista sekä organisoin sen operatiivista toimintaa. Olen tutkimuksessani tarkastellut erityisesti ylirajaisten perheiden muuttoliikkeiden hallintaa, sekä pakkomuuton ja pakolaisuuteen mediarepresentaatioita. Toimin Siirtolaisuusinstituutin julkaisusarjojen sekä Migration-Muuttoliike lehden päätoimittajana.
