“The Research seminar on the Move”, organised to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Migration Institute, continues in Rovaniemi. The theme of the seminar is “Northern migrations”. Speakers at the event will be Nafisa Yeasmin and Syed Musa Kajim Nuri. The topics of the seminar are: Conflict beyond sustainability: Societal stance of immigrants in the Arctic and Unraveling the Dynamics of Radicalization Against Immigrants: The causes, manifestations, and societal implications from the perspective of Lapland.

The seminar will be organised as a hybrid event. It is possible to participate either on-site at the University of Lapland, Artic Centre “Borealis” (Pohjoisranta 4, 96200 Rovaniemi) or electronically using Microsoft Teams remote software. A Teams link will be sent to those who register remotely before the event.
